After you have met the eligibility requirements and passed the examination, you may apply for your real estate salesperson’s or broker’s license. You must submit your application for license to the Missouri Real Estate Commission within six months of the date of your 48-hour pre-examination course completion. If no education is required, proof of satisfactory completion of BOTH portions of the required examination must be completed within six months prior to the date the application for license is submitted to the Missouri Real Estate Commission. Follow the instructions on the reverse side of your passing score report to apply for your salesperson’s or broker’s license.

Question by : How do I find a real estate broker after getting my real estate salesperson license?
I am going to graduate high school at the end of this school year and have decided to become a real estate salesperson in Texas but I don’t understand how to find a broker after obtaining my license. So after I finally get it what would I do? I am also going to school to get my teaching degree so until I find the broker I will either still be in school or have a job as an elementary school teacher; so if you are able to explain it to me please. Thank you! Bye!

The best way to find a successful brokerage in your area is to pretend you are a customer. A buyer or seller looking for a company to handle your real estate needs. Who has the best presence in your area? Who has more than the market share of signage? Who seems to be the most professional? Make a list of the companies that appeal to you and look up their numbers. I suggest calling each office rather than e-mailing because you experience first hand the quality of that company’s receptionist. Call each office and ask to speak with the office manager. Make an appointment to see them. Don’t make any decisions on the spot. Make careful notes at each meeting and review all the commission splits and office fees once you are at home. Weigh the pros and cons of what each office has to offer you. As a new licensee, training programs would be very beneficial. A mentoring program would also be hugely advantageous.
Get ready for what I believe is the greatest and most rewarding career.
The best of luck to you!
Cheryl
